Shareef1400 office is in tour operator business, which situated in 39-storey office building in central business district of Bangkok, Thailand. Major question from the client is how to be a good host for staffs and guests. Choenfun investigates on how being a host in an office space should be like and come up with a statement to kickstart the design; “How can office be a better hosting place?”

Choenfun divided space into 4 major area, which is dedicated working space, meeting room with privacy, multipurpose ground, and pantry manifestation. Dedicated working space is for executive and staff for daily office working experience. Any privacy needed function will be use in the meeting room next to the multipurpose ground, which will be used for an auditorium for trip briefing, lounge area for relaxation, and storage for document processing for each traveling trip). Last is the central pantry which separate the daily working space from the multipurpose ground but still let people connect visually to each other.

Working space was designed to with two 8m-long desks which staff has no dedicated seat. Everyone can move around to collaborate with other party for a better communication within the office. Designer place the meeting room in the corner space for a better privacy and with a stunning view of Bangkok skyline. Multipurpose ground was designed to be flexible, where the function will be change through the use of staff and guest. It can be an auditorium for trip briefing for the guest and gathering morning to-do-list update for the staffs, most important feature for this space is the side cabinet which can act as a document storage and organizer when the office is pack with visa-approval document. Central pantry is the major feature for this project. Choenfun challenge the idea of hosting by welcoming the guest and staff by located the pantry from the first step guest walk in, instead of reception, Shareef1400 will greet you with refreshing amenity and a casual atmosphere.

The 4 feature spaces, which is the main execution from the concept of being a better hosting space, create a new experience for both guest and staff of Shareef1400 office. “Come and have a drink in our office”
